Demolition Survey
Conducted prior to a building or structure being demolished
The primary purpose of this survey is to identify any asbestos containing materials (ACMs) in the building so they can be removed before the demolition begins.
Our Asbestos Demolition Survey Includes…
Identification of Asbestos
Our surveyor will identify asbestos materials by visual inspection and sampling. Demlition surveys aim to access concealed areas of the building.
Sampling and Analysis
Samples of suspected asbestos materials taken by our surveyors are analysed in a UKAS accredited laboratory to confirm the presence of asbestos.
Risk Assessment
Our surveyors calculate a material risk assessment of the potential for asbestos materials to release asbestos fibres into the air.
Fully Intrusive Investigation
Our surveyor will lift flooring, make holes in partition walls, open up boxing, inspect concealed ceiling voids and remove cladding.
Survey Report
Our report details the location, type, and condition of asbestos materials that should be removed before demolition work starts.
Unoccupied Buildings
The survey should be carried out in an unoccupied building to allow full access to all areas and not impose restrictions on the survey.
